What’s your toxic load?

9 Hidden Toxins Lurking in Your Food” is a must-read article for anybody that is following the health care debate that is going on in this country. A good rule of thumb seems to be if it’s advertised, don’t eat it.

I wonder if anybody has done a study on toxins and health care costs?

Also, I seriously believe that there is a correlation between toxins and allergies. In my kids’ school there are a number of children that have serious food allergies. I can honestly say that I don’t remember this phenomena, when I was their age in the late 1960’s. It’s imperative that I keep an eye on what goes into my kids’ lunches. If I don’t, and one of their friends comes in contact with something that they’re not supposed to, it’s a trip to the hospital. No food fights in this school!

It’s interesting to note that rule #9 is never microwave plastic bowls, containers, or dishes. BPA could leach out of the plastic container and potentially contaminate your food.

I realize that it’s not like you don’t have other things on your mind. I’m just adding to them.
