The number of moms choosing glass baby bottles is on the rise. With new studies pointing to the possibility that Bisphenol A (BPA), that leaches onto the liquids contained in hard plastic baby bottles, is toxic to humans, moms are looking for alternatives.
Recent articles in the Los Angeles Times, New York Times and Newsweek, among others, describe preliminary study results indicate that BPA can lead to hormonal problems, tumors and brain development issues. Read the articles here.
While clearly not shatter proof, glass baby bottles are a healthy alternative, as they can be heated in the microwave or sanitized in the dishwasher without fear of chemicals leaching unto the bottleās contents. Traditional glass baby bottles are also inexpensive. Find them here.
