When our founder, Cynthia Bistrain, was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2005, she embarked on research about health, nutrition and environment. One of the first lifestyle changes she made was to get rid of all the plastic in her kitchen that came in contact with her food. This is because plasticizers, which make plastics malleable, potentially leach hazardous chemicals onto food and drink. Some of these chemicals act like hormones in our body, which lead to disease.
